Founded in 1998
For many years, the Southern Junggar Margin was viewed as a highly prospective exploration area, yet complex formations, wellbore instability, and drilling incidents prevented multiple wells from reaching their targets. In 1997, Xinjiang Petroleum Administration launched a renewed technical campaign and sought collaborative research support across drilling engineering, mud systems, cementing, and related disciplines.
PECOME was founded in March 1998 in response to that field challenge. The company proposed the Weigh organic-salt technology route around two practical principles: stronger inhibition and lower solids content. After research programs and field trials, the technology helped complete the first accident-free well in 20 years on the Southern Junggar Margin to reach its target interval in 2001. That beginning shaped PECOME’s long-standing way of working: close to the customer, jointly solving technical problems, and delivering field-proven solutions.
A nonfluorescent, non-asphaltic alternative to sulfonated asphalt that improves filter-cake quality, seals microfractures, and reduces reliance on conventional black asphalt additives.
